Saturday morning lego castle creation
Friends over
The weather is finally nice enough to entertain outdoors, and we had two families over for a very casual dinner last night. The kids had so much fun playing together. Shown here are Crystal and Alex's girls, Rachel and Lauren, with Julia (and their bunnies). Not shown are Cole anda Blake, Christina and Mark's kids, who were playing ball on the grass just out of view. It was so much fun watching the kids running around together in the yard.

3 weeks to go
I hope this isn't too shocking for my blog, but I just really wanted a beautiful, artful picture of this belly of mine. So Jeff got out his tripod, and thanks to the timer function on his camera, we captured this image of the three of us, which I really love. When I was pregnant with Julia we took a standard snapshot of my profile each month, and this time around I haven't been that organized. So I really wanted a special picture to commemorate this pregnancy. We've been waiting until I'm really big for the most dramatic photo, but we decided with three weeks to go we'd better get the picture done just in case...!! Anyway, I hope you like it too.

Last day of work!
Well, I don't have a picture to post for the occasion, but it seemed so momentus I had to make an entry in the blog. My last day of work was today, my maternity leave starts tomorrow! I was busy at work up until the last moment and hardly had time to process the fact that I was leaving. But it started hitting me on the drive home tonight, and I'm feeling so free! At least for the next 3 weeks until my due date... I have a lengthy to do list here at home to tackle, so I won't exactly be idle, but I do hope to prioritize a nap each day, and a walk. Feels great!

Easter morning
Are we good easter bunnies or what?!
Ok, it's the night before Easter and Jeff and I have really come through. We had a bit of a slow start, with very little prepared before 9:45 this evening. But thanks to Joss and Val who came by to babysit, we had a night out and swooped into Walgreens just before closing to pick up a few last minute goodies for the easter basket. Despite our lack of planning ahead, I think we've really pulled it together. Bubbles, balls, sidewalk chalk, stickers, her very own play watering can (she loves to water things), eggs filled with Goldfish Crackers (she'll LOVE that, trust me!) and one Sees chocolate egg. I had to take a picture before we snuck into Julia's room to place it by her crib:

Carmel pre-baby getaway
Julia went to my parents for the night so that Jeff and I could get away for a short last-chance-before-the-baby-comes overnight getaway. Here is a picture Jeff took near Point Lobos.
Julia had a great time with her grandparents. They went to the San Francisco Zoo where Julia tells me they saw a blue gorilla! Thank you to Mom & Dad for taking care of Julia, showing her such a good time, and giving Jeff and I a chance to take a little break!

Nathan and Julia Playing Together
Andrea and Craig threw Jeff and me a family baby shower yesterday. She did such a beautiful job with the decorations and dinner. Grammy and Grandpa were there, and GG, and Jocelyn and Valerie too. It was so much fun. I think the best part was watching Julia and Nathan play together, which they did with much more awareness and deliberateness than I've ever seen before. They just had a BLAST with each other, getting each other completely wired. Jeff took tons of great pictures of the shower, but I had to narrow it down somehow, so I decided to go with these three of the two of them having fun together. I will post some additional pictures to shutterfly. Thank you Andrea for the wonderful shower!
