Susan made a spur of the moment trip up to see her grandchildren today. It was a quick trip -- in and out the same day -- but we made the most of it, with a trip to the park, some playing with baby dolls, lunch out, and some time in the backyard, where I caught this sweet moment between Julia and her Nana.
Tuesday afternoon we met some friends at the park. Gwendolyn and Julia are enjoying a playful hug in this picture. You can just see my friend Cristina and her baby Chloe on the right.
The annual Linfield Oaks neighborhood party was held this weekend, and we were amazed to find that we live in a neighborhood with so many young kids. The place was swarming with little ones, all of whom will be schoolmates of Julia's one day. Very nice! The party was a lot of fun, with jumping houses, arts & crafts tables, and a kid-oriented musician. 
We piled everybody into the Expedition and headed up to the SF Zoo, picking up Benne and Grandpa along the way. Julia had a wonderful time! Here are a few highlights of the animals we saw:

Friday night was my monthly Girls Night Out with my mother's group. We met two years ago when our first babies were all just a few weeks old. We've stayed in touch ever since with frequent playdates and a monthly night on the town. This month we tried something new and met at Carla's house instead for pizza, putting the money we saved on an expensive dinner into a donation for the Fistula Foundation. It was a nice way to celebrate our two year anniversary as a group. From the left: Victoria, Stacey, Cristina, Kristin, me, and Carla.
